  • Finally, save both files and open them up in a web browser. You should now see that your css is being applied to your HTML!

It’s easy to fix. All you have to do is go into the html file, find your link and replace it with a relative URL. For example if I had this code in my HTML page: <link href=”css/main_style.css” rel=”stylesheet”> then all I need to do is change that line of code so that it says something like this instead: <link href=”/public/css/main_style.css” rel=”stylesheet”> This will make sure any changes made in css are reflected on the site without having to upload new files or refresh pages every time they’re edited!

It’s not always easy to diagnose the problem, but there are some steps you can take to narrow down your options. First, look in your HTML files for links that might be pointing back to an old CSS file or one with a different name than what is currently referenced in the <head> tag of its corresponding page.
